MEMBERSHIP TOOLS
This database was developed in 1998 by the Owatonna Public School Social Workers, led by Susanne Schroeder, as a means of recording and tracking services provided by the school social workers. This method of maintaining accurate and reflective data was developed as a proactive response to the ever increasing number of referrals, requirements for accountability and diverse funding faced by many school social workers. The database was expanded to include a method of maintaining individual student record case notes, consistent with the requirements outlined by the Minnesota Board of Social Work. The database was gifted to MSSWA for distribution to members beginning in 2004.
Ethics for Use
The database and mental health power point took years to develop. It is only available to MSSWA members and is unethical to copy for those who are not members of MSSWA.
This power point presentation was created by social workers in the St. Paul school district. It was recently updated in the summer of 2008.
